Cool. I did love that 530d of mine. You'll have to head over to the RAF Cosford meet in April and we can catch up again buddy.

Re: New X5 owner
Hello All,
Another new E70 X5 x30d msport owner here, and newbie to this forum.
Just got the car a day before the snow arrived and a bit nervous as on staggered 20" rims and non matched set of summer rubber but at least all good condition tyres. Impressed so far with the car and 7 seat option a handy option already.
Needed to use hill descent control to get it to slow down enough to turn on downhill slope near Bennachie in Aberdeenshire the other day, to avoid a freelander who's driver seemed to ignore every other road user slipping about trying to avoid going off piste!
Anyhow, looking fwd to reading your posts and any tips.
Had a CRV before this and a big step up in quality. Reminds me a lot of my E90 330ise I had a few years ago, god I miss the engine in that car, but straight six diesel still nearly as enjoyable!

Thanks for the heads up Raj, I will see what I can do.
It was one of the old Middx Meets (should have said) when they were are Cineworld car park (Kav organized).

Kav has shifted this one to SCR but still organises it each year.

Re: New X5 owner
That is right, I went to the first one when I got my E39 530i and not long after Kav helped me out fitting a new alternator.
I then kind of 'fell out the loop' of car stuff/car modding. I sold the E39 and got the E91 but never really got back into things.
The X5 has kind of got the buzz going.

I never do major / big mods anyway.
It's just got me enjoying cars and driving again. Nothing against the E91 as it was a great car but I guess less exciting overall. Still had some good drives in it though.

I do like subtle modding. What sort of things you thinking?

I haven't really started that thought process yet. Any suggestions? I am very much one for leaving the look pretty stock.

Hi, any chance of some pics of your car? My car is carbon black and your changes sound really smart.
Thanks. Bob
