Heater matrix removal

Post by Ubatoid » Sat Jan 26, 2013 6:17 pm

Looks likely mine is holed somewhere. Ive had a coolant loss for a while - not bad but needs topping up every couple of months, and I recently had to have the centre consol out to fix the handbrake ratchet which meant removing the duct that goes to the rear vents. This had a good charge of coolant in it so I think Im fair in assuming the matrix.

Bently manual says that the whole dash has to come out to get the matrix out. Anyone know if its possible with dash in place ?

Ive had a car that had a leaking heater Matrix, it used to stink when I turned the heater on. Smelled like a dead bird was stuck in the heater vents.
