2005 model dvd rear entertainment plays no sound and wireless headphones not wor

i have recently purchased my first x5 2005 3.0d
it has rear dvd entertainment etc. but i can't figure out how the wireless headphones work. i have tried what i think is everything. inc batteries but they wont pick up the wireless signal and paly any sound.
the headphones ar Blacpunkt IVHS-01 and the on button LED lights up which make sme think there working.
the wireless transmitter is all plugged in however it has no lights etc to show it is working. i have tried getting the sound through the radio buy looking through the DVD setting and the radio setting but no luck.
Any help or advice would be appreciated on how it works

Is there a button under the light switch near the obd socket , I used to preess that than tune the radio to 88.3

thanks for the reply. i checked by the obd socket and yes there is a button and now i do have sound coming through the radio thank you. but still not sure how to make the sound come through the wireless headphones.

Lol glad I could help the sensor is in the boot on the left hand side , mine was ok but they can get knocked about see if its all there and plugged in

does your transmitter light up when its on. ive checked all the wiring, well what i can see lol. does the button just active the sound through the radio or dose it do the headphones aswell?

Just the sound on the radio , yeah I do have a little red led inside the sensor

try looking in that gap , that's where all the DVD stuff is
