msport wheel types

Post by xl5 » Fri Jan 11, 2013 8:49 am

at the moment i have 20'' type 227 wheels on my msport but would like to change to 19'' type 223 msport wheels with 255/50/19 on the front and 285/45/19 on the rear...
now these wheels dont come up to often on ebay but a five spoke type with the same size 19'' tyres do , so i was wondering if anyone knows if these alternative wheels will fit the msport..i havent got the wheel number or the offsets..

If it helps, have a look at Alloywheels direct as they carry the OEM offerings so you can see what options are available that you can then go looking for.....

thanks richard, i've googled since my last post and i've found a reference guide which shows the offsets etc and it seems there are just the 2 wheel types that fit the e70 msport, 19'' 223 and 20'' 227.....
i'll have to wait until some 19'' come up on ebay/gumtree at a reasonable price...

I wouldn't worry about getting the wheels you want couriered.  I bought my winters from German ebay which were then couriered over, and arrived safe and sound unharmed, and 'postage' was very reasonable.  These wheels are very sturdy so more likely to damage something else than get damanged - provided the outer sides are protected obviously ...

The wheels are pretty common given owners wanting to move to 20s for the aesthetics ...

Thanks PVR,

yes they fit the Msport, they do look a little lost in the arches especially with the Msport arch extensions but they do fit if they are E70 spec.

i checked on the alloy wheels direct site before purchase
