Congratulations by the way Richard.

The travel sickness I was referring to are opinions of friends and family who's children have suffered facing backwards and miraculously stopped when facing forward. Wether its fact, fiction or coincidence is another matter but we regularly travel from Scotland to South Wales so not something I want to experience. She's fine at the minute as she sleeps all the way between feeds but obviously this will start to change soon.

I can see the argument for why travelling backwards is safer for smal kids as most injuries arise from shoulder/neck area (this is why HANS has been adopted in motorsport). Hence I was initially looking at the BeSafe range myself but now I'm not so sure, especially the more I read into the forward facing impact cushions.

I don't like the thought on long journeys of not being able to see what they're doing and also what happens in a major accident if things leave the boot via the parcel shelf/blind. Broken rear window etc.. (We've been rear ended twice while stationary within the last 2yrs).

As you say the more you read, the more confusing it gets with everyone having their own opinion. Every type of incident can be unique and the outcome a complete result of those particular circumstances rather than performance of the safety system used.

Interesting discussion and a nice change of topic.

Don't loose any sleep over Huggies, Pampers are much better .........
