In process of getting interior aluminium strips changed (still trying to source), then an interior and exterior detail. THEN pics!

Change to wood? Or new aluminium? We had a courtesy E70 with the aluminium and it was VERY easy to ding/ scratch.

Changing scratched aluminium to new aluminium however not against changing it to wood. All depends on what I can find!

Have you thought about wrapping? I'm pretty sure you can get aluminium effect wrap now- and it would no doubt be more robust than the OE stuff.

Try these guys. They supply the wrapping but you do the fitting. Plenty of how to's on YouTube. This one here shows a silver cardon fibre effect that's been used in a BMW interior. Check out the fifth photo.

Regardless of what finish you chose, I would go the vinyl wrap route. Not too difficult to apply and should prove harder wearing than the OEM trim.

Thanks chaps. Definitely looks the way to go. Will let you know how I get on. DIY is not an option, I try to be a perfectionist with my cars and don't trust myself at all! Will ask around in Solihull. Cheers again.
