Nice frame Chief. Are you just letting us know of impending build or looking for ideas?

I run a stoke Genesis Core 50 Hard tail myself. Although not seen much action this winter.

Happy to take ideas Don. My first own build so probably need all the help I can get. Getting the frame for £600 brand new (from US) so want to spec such a good frame with accordingly good gear. Building myself to keep cost down as moving house next week so budget a bit right!

Spend most of my time at the 7stanes trail centres in Scotland but live 10 minutes cycle from the new Glasgow commonwealth games MTB circuit so will be making use of that too. Hence the reason I went for an "all-rounder" frame.

Lucky you!  Although new trails are being built in NI they're all an hour and a half away.  Turns a quick blast around the trail into a full days event.

As for spec, there's so much good stuff out there that price would guide me more than a certain product unless it was a must have.  No doubt you've heard of Chain Reaction Cycles.  They have some good offers as long as you are flexible on product.

Good luck with he build and don't forget to throw up some pics.

I know Chain Reaction well Don. My wife is from Bangor so we are in NI often visiting family. I go out road cycling now and again with North Down CC when we are over. Will be buying a lot of the gear from Chain Reaction.... Over across Christmas so will pop in when I'm there.

Very nice! I do like the On One frames - very tempted by one of their road frames..... One at a time though!

Yes, fine looking ride you have there.  May look at a full susser next year but only if someone like CRC are all but giving it away.  ::)

I've always liked the Cube bikes, good write ups and very good value for money.

Forget it - I know I wouldn't stand a chance.  It's not even clear what way up the black and orange thing goes judging from the photos  :))
