Did you install yourself? Where is the power feed coming from.

Fitted it myself, routed the wire from the power socket, under the dash, behind the trim up the A pillar and under the roof lining to the dome light down the screen to the camera.
If you have a few hours to spend type in "car crash compilation" into YouTube. )

Nice job. I'll attempt to do something similar as I'm getting snipez's unused camera. May consider upgrading to the one in your wife's car sometime in the new year. Funds a little tight at present after purchase of the new car and Christmas around the corner.

A good example. But after watching the first video I then spent an hour looking through a load more. :doh:

I consider myself duly.... :black_eye: :axe:......... @pvr - you're a bad boy!! :-[ O:-)
Back on topic though.....has anyone found a way to use something like a GoPro camera? Some of these 'crash cams' are more expensive than an HD camcorder. I know mine can only run for 5 hours on internal memory and has no GPS - though there are some that have - and it's only the memory looping that may be the issue.

Re: In Car Video Recorders
I think I would be more interested if they stayed recording when car is parked
Chap on lotus forum had one running the whole time.
Came back to damage to the front of his car
Looked on camera, black can reversed in to it. He therefore had full number plate plus hackney licence plate

Re: In Car Video Recorders
Good to have same when parked..............in car moving footage fine assuming owner/driver always drives perfectly otherwise could be can of worms.

That's what the Blackvue does in parking mode but needs a live feed all the time.

Livefeed = battery drain though.
