Rear Electric Reclining Motors, Switches and bits

Post by Raj » Wed Dec 05, 2012 11:27 pm

This is a retro fit I did about 6 weeks ago. You'll find pretty much all X's are pre-wired for most options and this one is no exception.

My 4.8is came with pretty much all the options ticked apart from rear electric reclining seats and the heated steering wheel. So I decided to retrofit the reclining seats option.

The main items you need are the motors and switches, but then ideally it's good to have the boot side panels too. You can however cut the original panels and purchase the plastic covers to bond in place.

As I'm a bit of a perfectionist, I waited for the panels to come up on the Bay (as I'd already purchased the motors and switches), but then sods law the complete retrofit kit came up (motors, switches, side panels and rear panels too).

It's plug and play and the kids love it when they are feeling a little tired.

I'm selling the spare motors and switches and also giving my original boot panels for you to cut up (unless like me you want to purchase the original panels).

You can see on the original panel where the motor fits:

Can see the covers that allow the motors to move through:

Fully reclined on one side with the other more upright:

I'm happy to help with the retrofit, etc.

It's Christmas, £120 as that's basically what the motors and switches cost me so you can have the panels for nothing.

Sounds like someone's got their Santa outfit on already.  If you have kids this is a great feature on long/late trips. Had the reclining seat on the CRV (manual operation) and the daughter loved it.

Bring the kids and they can test out the feature on the return trip.

It's a good few hours tbh and that was with the original direct fit panels. So will need to add more time on for that.
