The wife has a Blackvue DR380G HD in her car
http://www.blackvuehd.co.uk/BlackVue_DR380G_HD.php.
I have a Akenori HD pro in the X6
http://www.exeros-technologies.com/car-cameras/akenori-car-camera.
Both are excellent cameras, mine has the advantage of a GPS speedo built in but the Blackvue is hard to spot due to its design. I also have a DOD GSE550 camera being used as a CCTV and that one has already paid for itself by catching the council smashing my window and a neighbours car being reversed into.

I do like the size of Blackvue - very discreet.
Also seen cheap ebay options from china, but they are a punt :'( Once bought a cheap gps from there for a few quid (£50 / 5 years ago), worked ok for 2 months then software kept freezing, got to be a real PIA - Ended up flung in the back of a drawer.
Not keen on fitting a cheap system, to then have probs, though accept that as a trial, without fully wiring up to vehicleis cheapie is an option.
The one thing I would like is the GPS capabilty with the option to switch GPS / speed off & just have camera as proof ---- just in case you have been a bit over speed limit ( as insurers would prob use footage against you).
thanks for replys, advice.
