Sat Nav unit seems faulty - Can I borrow someones to check?

Post by R26Andy » Wed Nov 28, 2012 8:29 pm

Hi guys, Loving new X3 but Ive got a bit of a niggly problem and its driving me mad.

Ive set the sat nav up the way I want i.e voice to lowest volume, day mode rather than night mode on start-up etc but everytime I come back to the car it has reverted to night mode and volume back up to the middle setting and the perspective option has dissapeared again.

I upgraded to V32 firmware but that has not made any difference, I still loose all the setting after the key is out the ignition for more than 5 minutes. Strange thing is, all other setting are saved i.e. if I change the time or the way the date is displayed etc, it only seems to be nav related settings which do not save.

Any ideas anyone please?

Thanks

Andy

Bump, This is a big ask and a bit of a long shot but...anyone in the Newcastle area willing to lend be their MK4 drive for 10 minutes while I see if the problem goes away. I want to be sure before I start looking at a replacement or repair.

Thanks

Still awaiting the dealer I bought the car from coming back to me but I`m not holding much hope.
