Brand new folding mirror problem

Post by Nxnumber1 » Thu Nov 29, 2012 12:35 pm

Hi all!

I recently purchased 2 brand new, unused folding mirrors. I fitted them the weekend but seem to have a problem.

They fold in fine, however the passenger side instantly folds back out, then 3 or 4 seconds later the drivers side follows suit.

I have read about the issue for these when they are old, where the microswitch arm disengages and needs to be re set, but these parts I fitted are new.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Steve.

They are obviously broken and unuseable.....
