I know very little to nothing about these products, why do you have two sets? Is one better than the other?

Maybe interested.

How do these differ from the post facelift (LCI) E70/1 headlights?

By about £1,000 I would think!!

Rather than a single bulb/point source, the LCI system uses a ring/rings of LEDs and a control module I think?  Never see one in bits, but there's mention on various fora of up to 60 LEDS being used.

So the LCI lights are better / more expensive than the Angel Eyes? I never realised that the LCI front lights were so expensive!

The Lux V8 ones are absolutely raved about by the boys over the Pond.  I had a set shipped to my hotel in Florida but never got round to fitting them.  Just go to the website and check it out, that's the easiest thing.

The other pair were in there first, and were a simple fit; but I was not going to leave them in the car and simply give them away on the p'ex deal.

I often buy things on a whim then change my mind later (the saga with rear spoilers on the 40d bears evidence to that - 3 types installed before I got the one I wanted, much to the dismay of my bodyshop pals who had to unbond them!!)

Take pvr's car to bits...... >:D :))

The Control Module is about £250 per lamp ($295 USD if you buy it over there though)

snipes M50D will have them.  No one else has an LCI X6 (yet)...... :(

Some of us are having to buy baby 'Travel Systems' which despite my best efforts does not include a new X6. :P

Perfect time to upgrade to the X5 m50d then X5Sport?!  ;)

It's interesting to see that BMW is already looking beyond the LED headlights - next tech will be laser headlights.  The i8 concept car apparently has them ...

And there I was thinking Xenons were the ultimate.

It's going to be 'phaser banks' next...... 8).  I wonder if laser headlights can do the disco effects.....and I saw the Police Air Service is complaining that they are having trouble spotting police cars at Xmas due to all the blue chrissy lights in use these days....so they'll probably get banned next >:(

I might be able to afford a (very) small scale model of an M50D......but that's all.. :'( :cry1:.  They tell me it gets better as they get older, but by the time that happens I won't be able to drive anyway!! :P
