The twin-turbo 4.2-litre V8 RS 6 delivered mighty performance thanks to Cosworth tuning. However, a combination of so-so reliability and eye-watering repair costs befitting its bespoke nature mean the reliability index is woeful. A Mitsubishi Lancer, remember, has a score of 6. This scores 1,282… making it the worst performer Warranty Direct has ever seen during its 15 years in business.[/quote]

I must say I was very surprised with the top 10 worst cars.

... agreed but the RS comes last by quite a margin!  Hope the RS4 proves more reliable 535dboy.

Worst car ever must be the TVR Chimera I bought in the late 90s - beautiful car, sounded great, very fast, but you just had to look at the thing and it broke down.  In fact, 7 times from new over 18 months, and usually a flat bed job.  Took a bath on that one - not surprised they went bust!
Current: 40d M Sport, deep sea blue, oyster, 19in
Spare: VW Golf V5

History: TVR Chimera 5.0
First Car: Peugeot 205 GTI 1.9
