BMW SECURITY FIX - CARS OTHER THAN X5 / X6

For those of you with BMWs affected by this security issue (other than X5/6s), I spoke to a senior manager in BMW customer services earlier today on another matter.  During the call she mentioned the fix is being worked on and should be available at some point in November. So if your car's affected, definitely worth checking with your dealer to get the car booked in.

I asked about the wifes 1Series when mine was booked in to be done and that will be available early next year I was told.

I would expect cust services to be more up to date re progress, as they're doubtless getting endless earfulls from disgruntled owners.  Worth calling your dealer early November to check or maybe call customer services for a revised eta.

When I had my X6 done last month I asked about the wifes 1Series and was told they were rolling out that update Feb 2013.
