1.2 mpg and 200 ltrs/hr = c60 mph. Not as fast as I thought >:D. ... or involves a lot of hovering - what do you actually use it for?

It had been a long day by the time I posted figures. We work on weight for obvoius reasons. The burn rate is 200kgs per hour so should say 250 litres as aviation fuel has a weight of approx 0.8kg per litre. we curise at 120kts (138mph) and so should have said 2.5 mpg. Doh! :-[
We only tend to hover on take off and landing. The rest is done at 120kts to ensure the boss arrives on time.

Interesting job you have Don.

I know I'm lucky to fly helicopters, but there are times that you might as well be in a pimped up MPV with blacked out windows. It's just another way of getting from a to b.

At least the lucky owner has the good sense to hire a professional pilot rather than fly/crash it himself ...
But then again, we don't know what type of driver you are ?!! >:D
