I'd seriously consider getting on the phone to Jason to speed things up. As for the master cylinder, if the have screwed the seals up due to constant bleeding then that is down to them also.

Jason had to pressurise the system too. Let me link my thread as you will see pics.

Ok first they will need to pressurize the system using a brake bleeder like liquid levers brake bleeder kit (no cheap to buy)Image

Then BMW diagnostics (we use Autologic )Image
Then will need to active the brake systems pressure pump then bleed the longest pipe 1st and follow the on screen instructions Image

I suggest when they have done this to redo it again

If the master cylinder drys out they will damage the seals and will need a new master cylinder fitted

If you have tried to ring I've been tuning on the dyno for the last few days as been snowed under with Remaps

If you can't get through please text as I can't pick the phone up when dyno testing cars as It too dangerous

Got a call at 8.22 am this morning
Was good to speak to you
Sounded like you work at the garage?

They have not got the correct tools to bleed your car correctly
They have let the brake pipes run dry
They are trying the suck the brake fluid out of the lines using one of the tool that makes a depression when connected to a air line and a snap on scanner

You will never bleed out this car with these tools he is using
You need the correct tools to bleed these cars and it must be done correctly

Look for a company in wales that has a Autologic and the correct pressure bleeder

If you can't find anyone get the car put on a tow truck and send it down to me and I will do it here

Hi everyone thanks for the help, i have had my X5 back from garage , they did replace the master brake cylinder aswel and yes they got rear brakes to work, so some how the cylinder went when they replaced the rear brake lines as to cost, the bill was £500 which was for m.o.t,replace both rear brake pipes, replace master brake cylinder with brand new one then bleed all brakes plus re do m.o.t. so what do you think to the bill???????????????????????????

Think you'll find they screwed up the master cylinder constantly bleeding the system the way they were. I'd have made them cover the cost of the master cylinder tbh.

I got a non oem master cylinder from motor factors for £50!  Brake pipe costs next to nothing for enough to do the whole car, had this trouble when doing my brake pipes, let air into master abs unit, took to a local garage who said they could do it (had no brakes) they got abit of a pedal didn't dare charge me much, took 50miles to a trusted indy told him to fit the master cylinder because I had it and that meant I'd done all new brake lines and flexis, as well as new fluid and master cylinder, he had it about an hour, got them to work perfect and charged £50 for bleed and master cylinder inc fluid (it was his last slot on a friday night and I paid cash though so maybe he went directly to the pub lol)
