Post by Gazzi c » Sun Nov 11, 2012 2:10 am

Is the head on a 2002 3.0i petrol known for any head issues I checked the oil the other day and a lot of mayo looking stuff was around the filler cap the thing is its not losing coolant not overheating and is driving spot on could it possibly be just moisture built up as the car only does around five miles a day during the week and a bit more at the weekend
E53 3.0i sport, acs foot pedals, acs handbrake lever, acs titanium door handles mirror and fog light inserts, Remus quad exhaust, tinted Windows & E70 3.0 D pretty standard at the mo

Hi mate

These are not prone for headgasket problems and if they do go its normaly associated with overheating.

I have a 3.0i also and mine has this symptom this time of year also , I have seen loads like it so dont worry.

Might be a good idea to keep an eye on the oil and coolant levels but as said I would not worry , had mine for 5 years and always been the same.

Cheers
