The deal has been sealed and this time next week I will be the new owner of a X6 4.0. ;D She's just over a year and a half old in Vermilion Red with a good array of options. Purchased from a mainland BMW dealer so taking the ferry across next Friday. The F10 520d is going as part of the deal so expect tears while I get used to mpg in the high twenties instead of the low fifties I've become accustomed too. :cry1:
Will keep you posted (read bored) on the new woman in my life.
I had read a thread that explained how to convert a web link to reduce its size and make the link look more appealing, but unable to find now. If someone can point me in the right direction I'll post a video link of the car. (If anyone's interested in having a look see!)
Congrats, and in the best colour too.....Black/Grey is just sooooooo last year.. >:D
Just don't think it's a 4-litre even if it does go like one...... . You should get low 30's, but yes a bit of a shock mpg wise. But once driven, you won't care...... :drive: :victory:

Yes I do find BMWs labaling a little confusing. A three litre advertised as four in our case, the five litre is really a 4.4 or another three all beit with triple turbos and as for the 525 which is actually a de-tune three.....I can hear the owners now. I know it says 525 but it's really a 530.....honest!
Conga rats you will love it but be careful as the performance differential will be quite considerable, and she is a big though lithe beasty
If you had waited a little longer (like next week) you would have been in with a shot at my Jan 2011 X6 40d with a full spec list (aside from TV and side blinds that is - though TV is specced on the 50d I am replacing her with LOL). And that would have been in a proper colour too, not some girly rose ) ) . Just think of the kudos of having a Cheshire White 40d with individual slate over there. Mmmmmmm
Enjoy. The 40d is a little slow [O:-)] but still gets you places in comfort

Well done - sounds like you've got a great car there! Does yours by any chance have wheelbarrow handles at the rear like X5Sport's? ) >:D

The car did have square pipes but I insisted that they be returned to originals as anyone can be 'square!' )b )

I'm going to have to stick with the devilish red over the girlie white. The wife has given off that I've gone for a car with as many extras as I have, let alone held off for the full shopping basket.
Maybe when the time comes for me to part with the 40 you will be ready to part with the 50...depending on colour!
Cheers Sanj, it is the size of a bus so may as well be the colour of one too. Thanks for the link, hopefully this works, just a short video from dealer. video

Just like the good old days. Remember that as our respected father figure you are expected to rise above. ::)
