Hopefully only a small problem but after a rather acrid smell last week I noticed a misfire. Booked in at my local independent for Wednesday. Hopefully just a coil pack gone but I need to get a code reader. I have an aversion to eBay but found one on amazon - http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B008QV5 ... 650&sr=8-1. Would this be ok for my 2004 4.4i sport?
Thanks

Re: Misfire
Just picked up my car and seems to be running a lot better now. No coil pack down but a new set of plugs has cured the misfire.
More interesting is the cause of the burning smell - one of the first mods I made was interior LED's. Now the image show all of the LED's of the type shown are damaged. Some have got so hot the solder has melted and the LED has fallen off the board!!!! Will be removing the rest of these tomorrow as I obviously no longer trust this brand.

The supplier has offered a full refund for the LEDs so will take out the remaining units and send back. Will check the charging voltage tomorrow when I get to work so I can make sure there are no problems on my end before I send them back.
