Just to up date every one, still have not got the x yet, it has been built now, and its in the country as of the last few days, but have aggreed with the dealer to take delivery on 1st september on the new plate, cant wait like a kid at christmas

You can just right them a check shouldn't be a problem.

Yes - cheque is one option, another is simple Chip & PIN - if you have the money in your account they'll take it off that. Or you can ask your bank to issue you a bankers draft (costs £20 to £25) so I'd try debit card first. Just phone and ask if they have that option - sure they will. HTHs

Ask them if they accept Credit Card... If they do, ask for a 1% discount for paying by Debit Card!

I get charged 28p for every transaction I accept on debit card but for Credit Cards I get charged something like 1.79% of the transaction value. On 50k thats nearly a 1k!

...or get them to throw in a Golf Umbrella

I have the same 10 plate (facelift) 40d SE - had it just over a month. Love it, love it, love it, love it.

Trying to pick up some winter tyres/alloys for it at the mo. Not a massive fan of the 20" run flats.

Drives like a dream, only negative is the twin turbo doesn't put you back into your seat enough for me.
