Hi guys.
This problem started intermittently, when turning key to position 2 (before starting) got the message trans failsafe prog.. Was able to turn off and turn on again, all fine, drove perfect. This then got worse, might have to turn off and on 4 or 5 times before error cleared. eventually failed to clear so drove it in failsafe to the dealers. They diagnosed pressure valve fault, as they were dealers they could not repair gearbox. went to a gearbox specialist in Portsmouth who re-diagnosed same problem. Had a full trans recondition. Ah problem is still there. Thats where we are 6 weeks later. Problem still there after gearbox recon and two recon valve assy's. Battery brand new as precaution. Alternator output checked. The only clue I have is the way the problem came gradually and the fact x5 drove great if code did not appear.
any comments or help appreciated
