Activate Aux Heating with DIS/SSS/Progman OBD II
Activate Aux Heating with DIS/SSS/Progman OBD II
Hello guys! Nice to have joined this forum!
Here is my first request for help as a newbie:
I have OBD II which I have purchased on fleebay which came with EDIABAS, DIS, SSS Progman
I have spent nearly two days navigating through all the options. I have managed to get diagnostic information from the car, but I haven't found any way to activate the Aux Heater option (my car has the navigation option with monitor).
By reading around on the internet I got the idea that these are the exact tools necessary for the job, but I could not find any clear instruction, nor, as I said below any option in the software.
Beside navigating through the options with DIS and Progman is a painfully slow experience ...
I hope that someone here might be able to help.

Hi there I have the BMW 1.4.0.scanner, I activated mine with that, but it doesnt fire up properly, I havnt gone any further into it yet as it lives inside in the winter, I think you need a BMW specific Scanner to activate the AUX heating, where in the country are you ? a member near you with a scanner maybe able to sort you out for you

Apparently you have to ..
"install" the module in DIS through the Body Control Module
Then update the build order.
Or
Go through NCS Expert and set it in the KMBI
these should bring the Aux Heat option on the OBC and allow timer function.
Remote will need either Telestart or A-N-other remote switching module covered many times on here.

If things were meant to be easy, then I will soon complicate them....
Please note...
Anything I say is only from my personal experience and knowledge..
I don't assume to know everything, and know there is a lot I don't know..
But then I could be talking bollox.. O:-)

Thank you. Which Module?Steamyrotter wrote: Apparently you have to ..

I am not sure if I have NCS Expert, actually I have read that it should be part of EDIABAS, but in any case I have read that it is dangerous to use. Any step by step guide?Or

I think the poster removed them from his external reference folder. Piccies are not held on this site. I haven't seen traffic from this user for a while. You could try sending him a PM.
