This may be a silly question, but I noticed that when I push gear stick left into M/S mode suspension stiffens a bit and handling gets little firmer.
I've got 2011 xDrive 3.0D SE with Sport package and sport suspension. There is no Sport mode/Adaptive drive button or anything like that. Could that be that in LCI model BMW changed the way sports mode works and it affects not only gearing but suspension too or is it my imagination?

Hmm. In non A/D cars the shock absorbers are non-adjustable type, so would not be able to stiffen/soften etc.
The rear springs are of course air filled, and AFAIK only compensate for ride height differences.
Dont think the gear stick manual mode would adjust suspension...

Clenching your teeth and tensing your muscles always makes it feel firmer.
