Owch! At least you can run it until you get the misfire which should reduce the test costs.

Leakback test performed today, injectors 1 and 3 heavily passing back!!! So it's the two, have done some phoning around via google and found an extremely knowledgable chap who basically advised the garage to perform the leak back test due to viscosity of the diesel being less when warm etc causing my low fuel pressure, and explained everything to me, answered all my questions very in depth, and explained what he could do for me. So here goes, I'm posting both injectors off, they well test, completely strip and replace with brand new intervals, seals, nose tips etc for £115 each!! so quite happy to pay this. Still gutted though as it's always something!! love the cars to bits (literally) but cheeses me off a little when important parts like this go!! But on the way to recovery. So the x is in the garage in bits, I know the guy working on the car quite well so watched him removing the inlet manifold etc, looked very fiddly!! and mitch, that code reader was tip top!! They put their all singing all dancing code reader on and it came up with the exact two fault codes that your little toy did!! And wembley services even said oooh don't trust those cheap nasty code readers as they can send you off on a wild goose chase!!!

Forgot to say, the injectors come with a 12 month warranty. So this brings price down a hefty bit.

When it is fixed and if you are happy (and too the chap doing the reconditioning) it might be good to have his contact details posted for the benefit of others. Maybe check with AW8 and pvr before you do though just to be sure that it is ok to post contact details... maybe just a link would be ok?

Glad to hear it is getting sorted at hopefully quite a saving.

Just spent all morning phoning around getting prices, have found a company who again very knowledgable and offer 12 month warranty etc, who have plenty of refurbished injectors on the shelf. Gave him my serial number off the injectors, he had them ready to go on the shelf. And basically he has posted them out this morning and once I receive them, I am to put my old injectors in the box and post them back with a like for like service. Best part is, they only cost £75 per injector on the like for like. This aves a lot of money for me so very grateful to the Internet allowing me to find these guys!! Again, all internals, seals, new nossles etc inserted and ultrasonically cleaned. With 12 month warranty to boot. company is dieseljones, just type that into google

car back thisafternoon. ordered the injectors for £75 each before vat, from diesel jones.co.uk yesterday morning, they arrived by 12 o clock today. The total cost = £320 so has stung a little but was done as cheaply as possible. car running very sweet and starts instantly from hot or cold so all sorted. i highly recommend diesel jones specialists online!! ace service!! and very highly recommend my friends garage in pembs, which is just motors!!! very good service, very reasonable and very quick!!! mitch....give them a try!! and for a 4 wheel laser allignment very cheap, haven tyres in milford, £19.99!! had it done after all bushes changed!! very reasonable!!
