The front door card rattles as I mentioned in another thread and judging by a quick peek the plastic plugs are trashed at the hing end. I've seen how to remove the card by removing the screws and popping it off
Videos and image seem to suggest the replacement pins are not directl fitted to the card but are attached to some plastic towers
This picture grab from outpost shows the rectangular posts (BLACK) with the white and grey pins attached.
I have a set of new BMW grey and white pins....any idea how they go into the rectangular posts?

That's sort of what I thought but being anal about this I like to know whats what before regretting starting. I bought both grey and white but for the life of me I can't tell the difference side by side.
Then there's the mysterious metal door handle piece that rarely get a mention when removing or attaching. It seems to be attached to the door in the middle and is perhaps what gives the door card PULL it's strength?
This bit?

Bend open retainers on inner door plate for accommodating central clip ② for installation.

That last retainer is the one that will be hardest to get out, first time round. After that, when replacing the card, you'll find that very difficult to get back into place. Door card is pretty strong without it, regardless.

As said, the plugs just slide in. The grey and white don't seem to make any difference and I've got both as the spares I bought were just white, but the original ones seem to be grey.
Once all screws are removed it is just a matter of prying the plugs away. When you get to the top I the card being still in place, just give it a good tug and they will just come away.

Hi Sanj, I take it by that retainer you mean the extra bit I pointed out that never get a mention? It looks from the picture as if its a wide hook that is meant to offer restraint to the grab handle?
I'm rather hoping that I can slide in the new pegs just by removing the screws and breaking the existing plugs. The fault appears to be with the top two nearest the hinge end....one crushed and one split.
Previous owner must have somehow mashed them

Re: Door card peg replacement?
Update
Pegs in hand and a dry morning....job done. Removed screws and pulled bottom of the door. With window down a tug at the top near the mirror end had it off and loose quite easy. Didn't bother with the electrics or handles....just left it sort of hanging there
The plugs do slide in...mostly in the direction towards the edge of the card. Removal means pushing them away from the edge. The topmost one near the mirror was a bit of a pig to drag out as it was mashed and close to the card face, the others were on stumps so to speak so were easier to remove blind by feel (the card was still hanging and not off the car)
Replacement was easy. I replaced the front three with grey (2 were already destroyed by previous owner)
Withe the card offered up I stil trashed a new grey one (the one near the mirror) but I swear it was ligned up. Replaced again and this time more pushed than banged and it went in ok. Banged the top window edge back on then all the other clips and screws.
