My new X5 4D M Sport

Post by turbo power » Sat Sep 22, 2012 2:47 pm

Having originally set out  to purchase an X5M, I had to settle for a diesel  :))

This car was fairly local to me so I made plans to go and have a look.
I ended up buying the vehicle and in all honestly I feel this will be a better car come resale time than an X5M.

There were a few things that stood out for me when I first saw it.
The colour is Space Grey and looks stunning.
The wheels are from BMW's Performance Range and honestly these really do make the car.
They are very rare and looking at the classifieds there are only a handful of cars that have these fitted.
Looking at the cost of these i'm not surprised you don't see them as they are ludicrously expensive.

Here are some pictures:

All in all I am very happy with the car and plan to keep it a while.

Very nice.  First time I've seen those wheels on a real car rather than a brochure shot.

It's hardly an X5M with a boiler up the front!

As posted elsewhere those wheels make that car look 100% better than the std wheels so good call

There is another one like that around the town my office is in

Very smart & I agree it may make more sense than X5M long term........Wheels look superb - be careful where you leave it overnight.

Absolutely gorgeous, the wheels, the colour and the special touch with the rear headrest screens. Nice.

Much better than the original car of choice! Honest.

Looks great.
I concur with the wheel choice.
Wheels can make or break an otherwise fantastic motor. I saw two nice TVR Griffiths yesterday, one had cheap standard alloys, the other had a really stunning set.  Guess which one stood out for the wrong reasons.......

Space grey is a good colour for the X too.  Well done on a great purchase.  Let Jason at it and you will enjoy it even more :)

BMW Performance - Style 375 21". Tyres are....front: 285/35R21 Z XL, rear: 325/30R21 Z XL

In the UK, new (not from Dealer) are just over £3,300 a set without rubber.  Not too bad considering how expensive some of the OEM sets are.

Just got a little bit of kerb rash (narrow drive-thru at a KFC caught me out  :cry1: :cry1:) on one of my 214s which will now need some attention whilst the Winter set are on......that swap over probably won't be long off now I guess... :(
