GP Thunder H8 Angel Eyes

Post by macky1986 » Thu Jul 19, 2012 12:06 am

Well I finally fitted the GP thunder bulbs and must say they look good at night. Not sure how they will be in the daytime yet.

I have added a couple of pics for those interested the left hand lights are GP thunder and right hand original.

That's a vast improvement.  Which colour temp did you end up with?

Hi,

Can you tell me where you got the GP thunders from?

I ordered a set from ebay recently rated 8500k but they don't look that great.

Thanks

I got them from a seller Justpal on eBay. I just checked and they are very dull in daylight but look better at night.

X5Sport they are 8500 I went for.

Thanks will see if I can find a set from that seller.

Mine look no way near that colour, a lot more yellow and the outer ring is a lot duller too.

Depending on your budget get LUX V3's, they are mega expensive but worth it IMO.

I have a garage full of old bulbs (M-TEC, GP Thunder amongst others) and LED bulbs on my quest for the ones I liked.

Lux V3 certainly seem to be the best available. The reason I went for normal bulbs is I work away and my wife uses the car 99% of the time and was worried  about having problems with the LEDs so that will come when I eventually decide to work in the UK again.
