This monster toyota I spotted dwarfed the x5, must be built for the american market especially as it was a 5.7 v8 nice!

that's HUGE! didn't even fit into a parking bay  :-[

yeah  must be to compete with the Dodge RAMs and the lot!

yeh it overhung the rear of the bay by about 4ft, full width of space, came to front and best bit was it wasnt even a full crew cab its like one of them medium cab jobs!!

Here in Canada an X5 really is a mid-size car.  Some of the pickup trucks here are ginormous. I was back in the UK in May and saw one just like mine and it looked big against the average UK vehicle. 
Just what you're used to I guess.

That's a toyota thundra. If you want to see a oversized pick up truck than google either ford F350 or dodge ram 3500.

With me not being all that far from Alconbury, Lakenheath & Mildenhall I see quite a few of those around this part of England.  Mostly, if not all, left hand drive.  I always assumed the older ones were those sold on by returning USAF or similar personnel.

Cant see need in UK & tbh size would make it more hinderence on narrow roads & with small parking spaces etc. Finding spaces non damage parking of X5 can still be P.I.T.A at times.
