WELL HERE WE ARE AGAIN.
When selecting the reverse gear the passenger side mirror used to angle down so you could see the rear tyre. Now it's stopped working, can anyone shed light on how to fix this?
Only just had the car returned after being away for over two weeks for 11 jobs to be done and besides three of them not being done this additional one has arisen. I've only had this car a short while now and it's been back to the dealers most of the time. I thought BMW vehicles were built to last, evidently not, this is my BMW and the way it's going I'm not going to keep it much longer, unless things look up.
Anyway enough of my ranting can anyone assist in this problem.
The parrot system has also stopped working any ideas?

NEAR SIDE MIRROR NO LONGER DIPS WHEN SELECTING REVERSE. & PARROT SYSTEM DOWN
Re: NEAR SIDE MIRROR NO LONGER DIPS WHEN SELECTING REVERSE. & PARROT SYSTEM DOWN
May sound silly but is the switch in the right position? Can't remember which way round it is but the mirror switch to change between left and right has to be flicked to the correct side for the side mirror to drop.
As for the parrot kit, could be a fuse issue or connection problem maybe?

As Raj says it needs to be switched to the drivers side or it disables the passenger tilt function.
Mine went faulty-it was still tilting but "hunted" for it's end location. It was done under warranty and the invoice shows the repair kits for the mirror being £119.73 plus the vat from a main dealer.

4687ah good job you had it done on the warranty as £119.73 +VAT buys a lot of finger power.......
Will check the position of the switch........
In hindsight I should have had a good look at some forums first, that would have put me off buying the bloody thing..... :dead: :wall:
I've got it booked in Monday to have an LPG system fitted.. could still cancel :noexpression:
TIME TO HAVE A GOOD THINK, WILL IT STAY OR WILL IT GO. :hmmm:

Sorry to hear you are having troubles , you say its been back to the dealer for repairs. What did they do to it exactly .. and if under warranty can you get these issues sorted also?
Is it a dealer you have bought the car from who are doing the repairs or do you have a universal warranty?
Its a real shame its taken the shine off your purchase ..I would push to get the niggles sorted.
Whats wrong with the parrot does the display illuminate to indicate it has power...did you have any repairs carried out that could have desturbed this unit ?
Cheers
Steve

I got to totally honest the garage I purchased the car from are absolutely brilliant, a lot of second hand car dealers promise you the world up until they've got your money, then deny all knowledge of any type of warranty that was supposed to come with the vehicle in the first place. The warranty company is one of the best universal ones out there I believe, can't tell you who at the moment, as I can't put my hands on the paperwork, and they've approved all work, so far..
The car packed in just over two weeks ago and was collected by a flat bed and taken back over to get that sorted as well as some other bits and pieces, what's more when they arrived at my place they then took it to the nearest garage and filled the car back upto the mark it was at when collected, you tell me how many garages would do that? That's what makes the difference between a good garage and a brilliant garage you'd more than happy to go back to next time you want another motor....... :yell: :yell:
Parrot screen has no displace at all and the speaker unit make a bloody irritating beeping when turning the car ignition on......
MIRROR NOW OK - YES IT WAS THE POSITION OF THAT SWITCH ::)
