Not for those with a nervous disposition about flying!
This video is a flight deck sequence for the US Marine Corps Blue Angels C-130 Hercules. I did some crazy stuff in Hercs, but this is nuts!
Enjoy the Video.....and don't forget the bag is under the seat in front of you! :'(

Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.

Hmm, shouldn't happen with an aircraft with that many crew But they seem like a pretty professional bunch . . . for truckies!

It seems like they were practicing the combat take off and landing. It looks like fun in the cockpit but in the rear not everyone enjoys the combat landing. I know a few that could not handle our combat landing in afghanistan and had to use their helmets as a paper bag for relief.

If it was a Blue Angels support Herc, it's more likely that they were doing their part of the show, surely.
Wouldn't a tactical takeoff have continued above 1500ft?

If it was a real mission maybe but this for show purpose they just practice on jet assisted take off (JATO) i guess. But i am one of the (un)lucky ones to live that moment twice and not fun at all. Especially without any warning when it will happen. C17 wasn't bad but C130 was harsh.

I get you. But that wasn't a JATO; the acceleration was just normal Herc, to my mind.
But I was impressed with the co-pilot's chat . . .
