I know American cars are known for their...questionable handling shall we say....but then in the US they mainly do straight roads and don't need the clever stuff we do, but surely a cart spring under the rear axle is a little basic........

Takes me back to when I worked for Surrey Police and we had a senior officer with a Mustang Mach 1 - that used to bank like an aircraft every time the torque changed on gear shifts!! Terrifying thing!! It probably didn't even have a cart spring....

Very fine example though....no wonder you're grinning...
