Can someone give me some advise  my car has started playing up when starting  most times it starts normally others it doesnt it just turns over and over and may have to wait up 10 -  15mins before it starts no warnings come up to say there is a problem  has any one experienced this or got any ideas  thanks again

When does the non-start occur? Any constants - from cold? From hot?

The car normally starts ok first thing in the morning but i think it will struggle tomorrow as its 2am and ive tried it and it still wont go.But normally it will then you could go all day no problem could go to the shops 1/4 mile away when you come out it just turns over but wont fire. Someone has suggested the camshaft sensor but it may be a guess any more help please thanks in advance pete

Had the same problem with the daughters Clio. looked on the renault forums, and it was a common problem. Changed the flywheel TDC sensor, it never happened again, didnt flag up an engine management light either. as mentioned above maybe get the fault codes read, it could be stored in the fault log.
I have ordered a scanner off the internet, its probably less money than getting even a back st garage to read your faults once. well worth getting one.

Hi all an update and thanks for all your  advice the RAC finally came after two hours and what a nice young man he was he took his time and went through everything and eliminated it to the in line electronic fuel pump a wire had broken he fixed it but i decided to replace it later this afternoon to be safe ,Picked one up (aftermarket part ) £67.98 +vat and 40 minutes later it starts first time thanks all
