advice please
Hi all ive just gone to top up the coolant level on my 2005 e53 and noticed there is some platy in the radiator ie it moves forward and backwards is this normal or has something come adrift thanks in advance pete

Are you on about the red float? If so look at the picture on the header tank. It's so you know when to stop filling it

Hi thanks for the reply I am not talking about the red pop up thing its the actually the radiator moves back and forth about 25mm thanks Pete
also some other advise my car has started playing up when starting must times starts normally others doesnt it just turns over and over and may have to wait up 10 15mins before it starts no warnings come up to say there is a problem has any one experienced this or got any ideas thanks again

Radiator certainly should not move at all! 2005 year, but what version have you got?
This site is a copy of the BMW Tech Instr and might help you find the answers about the rad mounts etc. I went for the diesel, but you might have a petrol.

there wasnt one the top of the radiator is like a rail and the two top pegs for want of a better way to explain it fit in between the rail and thats it
