'Bikers' tend to go round in grungy leathers and a proper helmet, not Spandex underwear and a polystyrene tea cosy...>:D

Pmsl :)):)):))

yeah that hit too close to home!! but then i prefer that style to those in 'grungy leathers'  :-X

i've had 'bikes' too btw, broke my leg once and stopped it at that, in a diff. country. although i must say, i still absolutely love em! .. maybe one fine day..

thanks guys for all the replies, and Cannondale, particularly yours

btw, cannondale - that's one serious piece of kit!! - full carbon, with ultegra!

one thing i didn't like about it though - the brakes.

ok, back to mine.

thanks, so 105 is the way to go! 2 more questions pls, do you (or anybody else) have an opinion re.:

1. sram rival vs shimano 105?
2. Bianchi vs Planet X?

this is cos Bianchi impulso comes with a mix of 105 and tiagra and the Planet X comes with Sram Rival.

1) = Both simular. I have a bike with Sram Red on it and also a Bike with Dura Ace and my New one has Ultegra, I like both, they both do the same but slightly diffrent.

2) I have had Planet X & On One stuff before it is ok but I would always go for the big makes. (Bianchi, Cannondale, Spechy..etc.) They are easier to sell and loose less money. Also they look more expensive/better than they are.

My new bike is a Cyclocross hence the brakes, I already have a Cannondale Hi Mod SuperX with Sram Red on it, just though I would try something diffrent.

cheers rich,

re. 2 - yeah that's a v. good point, resale value is the only hope of recovering something when spending like this... also, i got in touch with planet x yesterday, they're  way up north for me and no showrooms or re-sellers anywhere else; so i'd have had to buy blind and not keen on that cos at all.. resale value stacks up against them.

have to wait patiently till end of month now! to get my voucher to hand :-\

hope the offer on Bianchi remains.. hmm.. maybe i'll get a quote, which might be valid for a month or so..

thanks
