Bluetooth setup Questions

Post by rjkc600 » Sun Jun 17, 2012 7:43 pm

Hi chaps,

Im going to try and get my bluetooth working with my iPhone 4S.

Ive downloaded the instructions on setting it up, but it mentions something about a passkey card which has a pin/code on it that ill need to enter.

I don't seem to have this card, so what can i do?

Is there a default code like '0000' that can be entered?

Cheers!

Iirc, the pass key number is on the label of the Bluetooth module in the boot.
I'm sure this has been covered before so may be worth doing a search.

Once you've been through all the initial checks have a look at this:

My 4S worked perfectly for me after this fix.

Right guys I'm heading to my car right now to get the BT working (hopefully.)

One question.  I dont have a pairing button in my armrest, only an eject button.

My comms button is on my steering wheel.  Is this correct?

Lastly - my car has an ipod module fitted, some american brand of ipod thing. Does this mean my BT module may have been removed to accomodate the ipod?

Do you have a facelift or prefacelift X?  Its just that early models around 2002 didn't have BT, they had fitted Motorola phones with a special module for the phone, not a BT one......
