Poor radio signal

Hi all,

Iv had my x5 a few weeks now and love it to bits even though I get 17 mpg lol. They is just one thing that is doing my head in, the radio has a very poor signal and breaks up and crackles a lot. I'm just wondering what is the best thing to do or if I need to check for any thing that is a common problem.

Mines the same never got to the bottom of it , so stuck with radio one

Have a look at the RCM and make sure the connection to the antenna is right and then check the feed all the way back to the upper rear spoiler (above the rear screen - 5 bolts).

Thanks for that I will have a look at weekend when I get a bit of time.
Would it get any better if I was to change the head unit to a newer one?

I complained about the very poor MW reception on my AUC - they changed the amplifier under warranty and its much better now.
