Dear All,
The DVD in rear multimedia system has started to give me "Track Errors", while playing CD's and DVD's.
Is there anything I can do?
Plus my 3 year warrany is about to expire in 10 days, is it worth renewing with BMW or not
BMW assist etc.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Many Thanks

Try a cleaning disc - might have got any number of 'interesting' things growing in it if you have kids.... ). If all else fails, new one while you have a few days of warranty left....
Warranty wise, there are alternatives to BMW but it depends upon what's on offer. Two ways to look at it I suppose.
Option 1 - renew it for peace of mind.
Option 2 - put money in the Bank to cover any bills, and as long as you can afford the bills then you're OK
I can't afford the 'shock bills' so will be taking a warranty out (had a gearbox fail on my E53 X5 and was covered - phew!).
I would keep Assist goung anyway as it adds functions beyond just the security in the event of an 'incident', or it does on mine.

Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.
