Yes, normal operation - that's what you asked, no duff info on this forum! ;)

Take away 3 inches each side or 2 on the drivers side as it sticks out a bit more that the passenger one. So minus 5 inches on that in total.

Wow thats great! X5encyclopedia here! :-)

It'll be tight to get it in to my courtyard . I have to drive under my house to get in you see, I have this arch way with big gates and it's 2.2m wide, so it'll just fit.

The 5 series, Freelander and the other halfs beetle are no probs but was a bit worried about an X5.

Is there a 'button' that you press to put the mirrors in if you need to while driving slowly through?

If it has power folding mirrors you can fold them in below 5mph (I think). Small button on the mirror adjuster controls.

Do you know if you have folding mirrors?

This is an option.

Look at the window switch on the drivers door, next to the sliding switch for the exterior door mirror adjustments is a button (to the right). Press it - mirrors fold.

If you don't have one, you don't have folding mirrors.

The dimension will always be a minimum of one inch more than you need it to be ........
