Unless you do the treatment I had done on the car which means never waxing it ....

Paint protection by Protech in NL. Adds a teflon like layer on the paint which prevents chipping and means you are seeing the true colour of the paint and not a changed colour by additional wax.

Also protects against bird droppings, can leave that for almost 24 hours in the sun without touching the paint (not tested that statement myself though ....)

Not available in UK, I drove to Europe for that.

If your old and well off like pvr then the protech treatment is definitely cool to have done. Otherwise just get yourself a bigger garage to wax in...lol

Think I paid about €650 for this as I did not have to pay the VAT due to being registered in the UK :)

Nah, have had it from new on the M and washing is a doddle now. Same on the X5 now, 30 minutes and with the DI vessel for final rinse it is all clean.
