Nothing can beat the sound of the V8 though. Only downside is that every speed check "community watch" assumes you are guilty by sound rather than speed.

Driving through a local village with my M at low speed (<30 as I had seen the blue rinse brigade from miles away), they STILL raised their gun at me when I came passed and they had not done so for any of the cars in front of me ...  >:(

Do you carry a bucket about with you to pick up the bits of bodywork etc. the TVR drops on the road as you drive around on these meets  )

The TVR was a V8, but is sadly now a V6 as it lost 2 cylinders on the way back home from the meet :laughing1:

I must admit the TVR is as bad as they make out! its just my love affair so i put up with it, most of my friends prefered the sound of the proper V8 in the x5 instead of TVR`s AJP effort!

I understand where you coming from PVR,i was in the tvr just going really slow in a supermarket car park & this old lady shouted at me saying slow down you lunatic! it was certainly sound rather than speed on that occasion!  O:-)
