Hi accidentally Googled this site while searching for some X5 info. Can't believe some of their thoughts and opinions on us X5 drivers, have a read and try and stay calm!

That's the problem with generalisations.

It's a bit like me saying that all the drivers who use Honest John drive Euro shite boxes. Now that wouldn't be true either....would it  O:-)

:disgust:

Sorry I'm into the smilies at the mo - but I couldn't find one for 'What a load of bollox!'

Appreciate the site, but stereo-typing is a waste of time (but then again they won't see that)... :hmmm:

I have to laugh at those people that think that all people who buy BMWs do so because they want a status symbol. Granted, some do, but they never think about the fact that they are consistently voted the best cars in the world. Sure, they're expensive, but you get what u pay for. I bet all those "generalising" on that forum are doing so on their iPhones. Again, expensive, and often a status symbol, and also often "driven" by numpties, but they still buy them.

People need to get a life. And a BMW! :fuelfire:

We also have 2 BMW's on the drive and we do get comments from people, and to top it all, my wife gets her brand new one series soon, and it's not subtle either, bright metallic orange !!!

That's the problem with the lower class, they simply don't know when to stop moaning!

I can safely say I have never been undertaken, tailgated or any number of other examples of poor driving by BMW Owners in X5's.....now I cannot say the same for Audi A3 or A4 drivers - with S3 drivers being amongst the worst of all (around here anyway) and strangely Q7's - And no that isn't a 'dig' at 535dboy, due to get an Audi soon - I'm not a fan of Top Gear, but it seems the 'cock ring' analogy fits well for more than a few Audi drivers.

When I used to spend most of my working week 'mobile' on the M25/M23/A23 and A27 in the unmarked cars, I experienced some truly awful driving mainly by 3-series drivers who I can only guess have moved up in the world and been replaced by a new generation who buy/lease the Audi A3/4 as the currently fashionable 'to be seen in' company car.  Even Vauxhall drivers (who in the 80's/90's were then the worst) are well behaved compared to the current crop of Audi rep wagons.

I note that most of the comments date from 2009 and things have changed fashion wise.  No doubt in another few years it will be some other model everyone hates....

Of course in reality BMW XDrivers own the road so no one else should be on them anyway..... :upset:
:ant: Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.

If the BMWs are dull, they would make perfect cars for dull professions. Let's see, accountants or so  :))
