Rear air vents problem?

Post by Benxwyatt » Tue May 29, 2012 9:40 am

The rear air blower vents which are located in the center arm rest always blow cold air, even if the dial is turned towards red! Why?? X5 2002 3.0d

There's a micro-switch in that whole contraption.

Two screws in the centre console (right at the to) when you lift the lid and it should pop out. Then unclip all the switches/lighter connections. That micro-switch will have a lever that will be broken or dislodged or the switch is gone.

May be the lever only, similar to the folding mirrors.

Radio only? All four corners giving you sound? Try the other sources as well.

I think the module is immediately behind the battery under the black plastic cover and on the left if memory serves. Can you hear any tape (if you can find a cassette of course) or CD audio etc?
:ant: Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.
