Karcher from water butt?

Wouldn't be any good for me, as soon as you show it to our water it would stop working with all the limescale. Bloody hard water round yer. How much are these filters?

Agreed with the method as that would be how I would set it up in the garage. That's what I'm doing with the waterspots filter at present.

The DI vessel from DAQUA is just under Â£110. I did ask about a group by but that bought it down to Â£104 which isn't a huge saving really especially as they are listed on eBay from DAQUA at the same Â£104.

Sorry missed that bit Raj, will have to look at setup possibilities and see if the tank is feasible. I love the idea of a water-spot-less wash.

Raj,
Definately think we need some numbers here of people who are genuinely interested in a vessel, then maybe contact one of the eBay sellers to see if they are willing to do a deal on multiple purchases.
I don't think we are going to get a great deal off, but a bit more than your above price would be nice.

Tbh the DI vessel isn't huge so will sit nicely in the corner of the garage. You only need to connect a hose to both sides (one for input from your tap and other to pour over your nicely washed X) unless of course you live down south in which case butt away...lol

Doug at DAQUA did say he would drop the price to Â£101 but only if they were all shipped to the same address, but then distribution is a huge pain in the ass unless we organise a mega meet...lol

Did look at the other eBay listings but tbh although slightly cheaper not sure as I would prefer to deal with someone like DAQUA as they have a better rep especially as others here buy from them.

Understand where you're coming from, do you know what sort of price he will do on individual posting, as long as we commit to buying a certain number, like the idea of a meet, but logistically might be a real pain the BUTT, ( see what I did there ).

I've started a new thread to see what sort of interest. I'm hoping if more interest we may be able to get a little more off.

Once I get a better idea I'll talk to Doug again and see about price and how he would want to proceed.

For those with a Karcher PW in the K2.nnn to K7.nnn series you might also want to add Part Number 4.730-059.0 to your accessory list.

It's an in-line filter of which one source is shown. It will stop any unwanted crud getting into the pump on your (expensive to repair) machines....

hi the a would like to ask does all karcher pressure waeher work from a water butt
as i have a karcher b302 and cant same to get it to work

I think only the current K-series or machines made in the three or four years will do it. The B302 is/was a 2004/5 model (?) and the older ones can't do it by default. You will probably need to raise the height of the water butt or get a submersible pump to boost the pressure to the inlet of the Karcher. You must put an in line fine particle filter in as well to avoid damaging the Karcher pressure washer pump.

The newer machines can 'lift' water 1.5 metres as they have a better vacuum 'draw' on the pumps and that is what allows them to use a water butt supply. They also come with a special hose to do the job, or you can make up a Hoselock type connection.

I have a Karcher K7.85 and have used it from a water but for the past 5 years with no issues.
Just make sure you clean the Filter that is in your machine behind the plastic fitting were you connect the water feed hose.
