Hello everyone

Post by cheethd » Fri May 18, 2012 10:20 am

Hi

Just thought id quickly introduce myself to this great forum.

We got our x5 3.0d sport last year, its a 53 plate with 58k on the clock. Coms pack, Gray leather, rear dvd's, its a very strange light metallic green colour, mods im looking at doing is a reversing camera and also convert the analogue tv to digital.

But all that is once i have resolved my starting issue :-(

I'll upload some pics when im back at home.

Cheers all, Dave.

Welcome aboard..... :D

The colour could be Olivine....which I looked at as an option on mine. Looks really good when clean in the right light, but can look a bit dull on dull days. Played safe in the end and went for Sterling Grey.

Hi and welcome, be interested to see pictures of the colour. I judt did the reverse camera mod last week, not difficult but time consuming Sanj and Dirtymonkey are the boys for this. I already have the hybrid TV but there is a sound problem that I think is a fault but many people have said digital does that with poor reception. I wouldnt bother with the TV unless its essential

Nice - rare too I think. Defo not the colour I thought it might have been. Certainly makes a change from the far more common Sterling Grey and various shades of Black/Blue that are out there......not that there's anything wrong with any of them..

There is a local 3.0i in that light met green colour, 52 plate iirc. It would look good if the driver (Greek female - no aspersions on gender or nationality) hadn't tried to damage at least 30% of the panels. The other cars she drives are a SMART and a 911 :) both are smaller, and undamaged.......
Hmmm is there something in that?
