ps...I cleaned my engine cover with Autoglym tar remover...it's all I had to hand....that and (watered down) Flash with bleach

That tar remover was good on the wheel arch trim and rear lower valance at removing zit tar spots. The plastic didn't go grey either as I thought a petroleum product might do. Wasn't black but it did remove all that excess bumper care/tyre shine gubbins



I tried some autglym fast glass (says it does plastic) but that leaves a residue. I'm amazed how much cack ther was on there power steering pipes on the diesel...but it's done 112,000 miles

So sharp you could daisy cut the grass Do you think the alignment has changed or is it like me hard to tell because they were bobbins to start with?

That's interesting....I took no notice of which way up they were when I fitted them....do you think it would make a difference?

So in that case will wait for the weather to get better plan to polish using autoglym SRP then UDP supposedly the two in combination can hide a lot of the markings that black shows up, the best part I got 2 black cars, fun.

Yes original clips were cut. Dremel happy but was a nice clean cut I must say.

Your right I would never know the difference in alignment to before I only know as Sanj decided to adjust the driver side down as he didn't like it that I want my vengeance on the Audi's out there.

I've still got some targets (sticky tape) on the fence from when I changed the E36 Compact lights (4 years ago)to normal (worse as it turned out) E36 projector lights. All because the Compact lights turned out to be bigger lenses than the (never fitted) angels I bought.

The E36 had a hockey stick flick up pattern that you could use to set correctly. The e53 seems (to my eyes) to be flat edged across with no hockey stick. Might get the tape measure out and see if I can see the hot spots. Mind you it has to be dark to do it

Light patterns - general question

My E36 had hockey stick patterns but the face lift projector seems to (on mine) have a flat top

Not wanting to panic but looking in the thread below and the TIS makes me think I'm either blind, have US lights or TIS is wrong

Phillips are used for b@stardising pozidrive screws
pozidrive are used for b@stardising Phillips screws
flat screwdrivers are used for opening tins of paint or substitute phillips screwdrivers with added chaffing of the screwhead....or removing skin

Man I told you one step at a time just holding the screwdriver was good enough for day 1, tighten and loosen another day or two.

Lastly for tonight anyway, had to pop out this evening, it was funny it's like the fly being attracted to the light, now I can see them I keep following the light edges which is kind of scary if you keep doing that on corners, I can't help it, lighttttt...
