Thats good MPG

As a comparisom I have a 4.8 petrol and I have just filled mine up after 394 miles it took 87.9 litres and gave an MPG of 20.4.

That is with all local trips of no more than 10 miles and a recent return trip Towing a caravan for 70 miles each way. It does not get driven vary hard though as our lass use's it mainly

I was quiet happy with that.

I've seen 19mpg to 35mpg, depending on how I drive and where I drive.

Just back from a trip to Donegal and I managed to achieve 34mpg and that was a mixture of motorway, dual carriageway and B roads. I managed to get diesel at 1.54euros per litre in the Republic of Ireland and the euro is currently worth 1.20 euros to the pound sterling. I was well pleased with that!

I did a 200 mile round trip in my 3.0D E53 on Monday and the computer read 43.1 MPG :P I rarely see an MPG starting with a 3 in past cars i've owned. I've never seen a 4. amazing.

i wasn't in any rush to get to my destination so thought i'd try and be a bit frugal. The computer also said I was averaging 53 MPH. Probably about right as i was using cruise control for most of the journey and stayed in the first lane doing between 65-70 and then about 45 in the 50 MPH zones.
