My upper tailgate release switch has stopped working. The upper part of the tailgate works on the dash switch and also the fob but the switch between the number plate lights doesn't.
Is this common? I tried using search but nothing obvious came up. Is it just a case of new part from the the dealer?

Could be a micro switch failure on the switches. Someone else had this recently and there was a guide on how to try and fix it. Failing that it's a new part from a dealer..

Its the switch on the bottom half that I have the problem with... into the dealer when I get home I think to get it sorted!

I have this problem,bought a new unit but the tailgate still wont open on the micro switches but it will with the fob,I think it must be a fault with the lock its self
