Am torn between the sports seats - the ones to have when you enjoy more spirited driving; supportive - and comfort seats - with the lovely oscillating base and ventilation options, but a little more 'driver sway'. I have had both types (current X6 40d has sports) and can't make up my mind which I would prefer going into something, ahem, a little nippier. Any long term observations or points of view from anyone?
Also keen to hear from anyone with full extended individual leather - is it worth the extra over the 'standard' individual leather?

Comfort vs sport seats and individual leather
Re: Comfort vs sport seats and individual leather
I had comfort seats and extended leather in my 740, and sports seats in my X5 and standard leather.
The 7 was a nicer place to be in for a comfortable drive, but it is very difficult to compare two different cars. I really liked the extended leather as well.

Re: Comfort vs sport seats and individual leather
My X6 has the Comfort Seats and Nappa Leather....not sure the Individual was worth it unless you wanted a particular colour combination.
The latest comfor seats have adjustable side bolsters so should you want to be more 'spirited' in your driving you simply press a button and they inflate - effectively giving you a Sport Seat when you need it. The E53 type Comfort seats did not have that option and were less supportive for that driving style. I believe you also get a much greater range of possible adjustments with the Comfort Seats than you get with the Sport Seats.
If you can find and download a copy of the manual then you'll be able to confirm..

Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.
Re: Comfort vs sport seats and individual leather
Newer model comfort seats (as stated above) have adjustable side bolsters and are so much nicer than sport seats. I had comfort seats on my 530d and they were superb as upper back support, head/neck side support and bolsters made for a really supportive and comfortable position.
The ///M seats in the M5 were on just another level with auto side bolsters that actually tightened in on the side you were leaning into when at speed round bends, etc.

Re: Comfort vs sport seats and individual leather
I've got comfort seats in my E70 and I think they're brilliant. I had extended leather in my last M3 and it was really nice, especially as it was a lighter contrasting colour (palladium). The comfort seat are just so... Well comfortable.
