....... to help me set the time on my dash.
I'd like to set it as there's no other clock in the car, and I don't want to be late for work,.. do I ?
I know how to access the time with the button on the end of the indicator stick,.. but what do you do next ??

If you have Sat nav you'll find it under the 'Set' menu in the computer option...
Don't know if you don't have Nav as I've not had a Beemer without......sorry..

Re: Anyone got the time please ?
I have an aftermarket touch-screen sat-nav which I'm beginning to think has bypassed a few other settings.
I will admit to being lazy and not looking in the manual,... but lets face it,.. the members on here can describe 'how to's' much better than any booklet !

Re: Anyone got the time please ?
The clock I was refering to is the one sitting behind the steering wheel where the computer read-out is. Fuel consumpion indicater seems to work okay though (after I disconnected the battery to fit the towbar electrics )

Re: Anyone got the time please ?
That one was also set by the one in the OEM Nav head 'Computer'> 'Set' menu, at least it was on mine. I assumed it was just a repeated output from the car computer. No idea how yours will be set then.

Re: Anyone got the time please ?
The OE Nav headunit provides the settings functionality to set the date, time, reset trip computer and the like. I've replaced my OE headunit with a pioneer double din unit so no longer have the ability to reset and set those options.
Re: Anyone got the time please ?
Don't think mines had a sat-nav as standard,.. think it was just a multi changer CD head unit. Think by all your answers that it has probably been by-passed with the new aftermarket touch-screen,..... Thanks to all,
Jonny

Re: Anyone got the time please ?
Without Nav, it would have been on the radio unit. There is a clock button on that, and it would show on the display between the instruments. The setting would be done via the buttons between the instruments as well.
